Our Birth...
Wine Country was born in July of 2004, created by Jason Brady, Clay Simon and Steve Simon in Shreveport, LA.  Wine Country started as small bottle shop, offering a wide selection of smaller boutique style wines at every price point.  The goal was to demystify the world of wine while offering options that were previously not available in the market.

Adolescence….

It didn’t take long for Wine Country to catch on and take on a personality of its own.. and like any awkwardly fast growing youth, it needed more space.  In the fall of 2005 the walls went down to make room for a tasting bar along with more retail space.  The complimentary Thursday tastings became a regular on many locals’ calendars.

Great wine was meant to be enjoyed with great food, and it didn’t take long before the dreams of a kitchen drifted into the Wine Country picture.

In the spring of 2007 construction began on Wine Country Bistro & Bottle Shop, a concept that took on a mind of its own.  With the talents of Chef Michael Brady the menu began to take shape.  The menu is constructed to offer the freshest ingredients around, combining bistro-style cuisine with an emphasis on wild game and fresh seafood. The Restaurant/Retail concept followed the same principle as the bottle shop –“Bringing great food and wine down to earth!” Our wines are priced to be consumed and not admired from afar, with 25 wines by the glass and a rotating selection of wine flights.

The backdrop is warm and inviting with arches of mahogany and walls of wine.  Wine Country Bistro offers three distinct dining atmospheres to fit any given mood. We offer a quaint dimly lit rear dining room, spacious patio for al fresco dining or an upbeat bistro/ wine bar fit for a king.  The retail store is a clone of its older sibling with the addition of a European style cheese counter and a large walk in wine cellar that holds some of the finest juice around.

Wine Country Catering is moving full speed ahead, offering bartending services and full service catering. Bring the bistro to your next party.
